A new featurette has debuted online via Yahoo! Movies where Pacific Rim director Guillermo Del Toro takes us on a tour of the massive four-story set built to convey just what exactly it would be like to be on the inside of one of the giant, man-powered robots known as Jaegers in the film. He pretty much describes it as a little amusement park simulator that creates a much more realistic sense of resistance for the actors to bounce off of, and when you watch the featurette, you’ll see just exactly what he means by that, as the actors really were put through quite a ride while trying to act like professional Jaeger pilots. While all of the previous trailers for director Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel have been stellar, they have all had a pretty similar vibe, focusing on the hero’s journey of Clark Kent/Superman. In this latest final trailer for the film, however, the theme centers almost entirely on his opponent General Zod and the overall villainous threat that Superman faces in the film. There is tons of new and exciting footage to behold, unlike anything we’ve seen in the previous trailers, so this one’s definitely worth a look… or two… or three… or, well, you get the idea. In what has to be the most genius move in advertising I have seen in a while, Audi has teamed up with Paramount with a new commercial designed to promote both the new Audi S7 and J.J. Abrams’ latest film, Star Trek Into Darkness, which has just been bumped up a day to a May 16th release as of this morning. But the genius part isn’t so much Audi working with Paramount, but the fact that the advertisement features Leonard Nimoy and Zachary Quinto racing each other, with Quinto winning with the new Audi S7. Of course, much hilarity ensues. Check out Old Spock vs. New Spock after the jump!

Director Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim is definitely on every geek’s summer movie radar this year. It really doesn’t get much better than an A-list director creating a film about giant robots (called “Jaegers” in the film) facing off against giant monsters (““Kaiju”) from a different dimension.

This year at WonderCon, Del Toro debuted a new trailer for the film, which of course blew everyone away, and he felt that the trailer should not just be exclusive to WonderCon attendees because, well, it’s just too cool for words. Hit the jump to see what Del Toro had to say on the matter and view the new trailer!

This summer movie season certainly has some big shoes to fill. Last summer gave us two of the biggest blockbusters of all time with Marvel’s The Avengers and Warner Brothers’ The Dark Knight Rises, both of which raked in a killing at the box office (The Avengers made over $623 Million, and The Dark Knight Rises over $448 million) and scored big with critics and fans alike.

But while the likelihood of this summer’s most anticipated films scoring as big at the box office is probably not as high, there are sure to be quite a few just as worthy of that type of recognition, and others that are at least sure to be a lot of fun. Summer 2013 will be filled with superheroes, oversaturated muscles, giant monsters, zombies, and other geek-centric entertainment to once again provide us with at least ten great reasons to head to the cinema in the next few months. Hit the jump to check out this year’s Top 10 Movies to See This Summer!

While Iron Man 3 may be getting all the buzz right now being the first film to kick start Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe this May, another little film sequel starring another little character from The Avengers will be hitting theaters later this fall that is also worthy of just as much attention. In case you’ve been living under a rock this past year, the film I’m referring to is indeed Thor: The Dark World, and the first trailer for the film has just been release today.

In the trailer we finally get to see the inevitable reunion between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), as well as some other familiar faces, a peek at new villains, and a whole lot of action. Judging from the sheer awesomeness of this trailer, Thor: The Dark World seems to be shaping up to be the biggest fall release this year. It is certainly one of the most anticipated. Hit the jump to check out the trailer!

It has been a while since the last trailer for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel premiered, but now we finally get another taste of the Superman reboot in the newest three-minute trailer that recently landed online, which features a slow dramatic buildup that shows us some of the devastation of Superman’s home planet Krypton and what it is like for Clark Kent to grow up on Earth keeping his true origin a secret. While this newest trailer doesn’t pack quite as much of an emotional impact as the previous one, the last minute gives us the most action we’ve seen thus far, and it does not disappoint. Check it out below!
