Director Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim is definitely on every geek’s summer movie radar this year. It really doesn’t get much better than an A-list director creating a film about giant robots (called “Jaegers” in the film) facing off against giant monsters (““Kaiju”) from a different dimension.

This year at WonderCon, Del Toro debuted a new trailer for the film, which of course blew everyone away, and he felt that the trailer should not just be exclusive to WonderCon attendees because, well, it’s just too cool for words. Hit the jump to see what Del Toro had to say on the matter and view the new trailer!

While Iron Man 3 may be getting all the buzz right now being the first film to kick start Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe this May, another little film sequel starring another little character from The Avengers will be hitting theaters later this fall that is also worthy of just as much attention. In case you’ve been living under a rock this past year, the film I’m referring to is indeed Thor: The Dark World, and the first trailer for the film has just been release today.

In the trailer we finally get to see the inevitable reunion between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), as well as some other familiar faces, a peek at new villains, and a whole lot of action. Judging from the sheer awesomeness of this trailer, Thor: The Dark World seems to be shaping up to be the biggest fall release this year. It is certainly one of the most anticipated. Hit the jump to check out the trailer!

It has been a while since the last trailer for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel premiered, but now we finally get another taste of the Superman reboot in the newest three-minute trailer that recently landed online, which features a slow dramatic buildup that shows us some of the devastation of Superman’s home planet Krypton and what it is like for Clark Kent to grow up on Earth keeping his true origin a secret. While this newest trailer doesn’t pack quite as much of an emotional impact as the previous one, the last minute gives us the most action we’ve seen thus far, and it does not disappoint. Check it out below!

Apple has uploaded the final domestic trailer for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness, and it is definitely the best (and darkest) one yet. The trailer’s sole focus is on Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) and his quest to capture the franchise’s newest villain, played by Benedict Cumberpatch, who is absolutely menacing here. And, as is the case with any new trailer done right, we get tons of great new footage here, including the U.S.S. Enterprise taking a lot of spectacular damage as it faces its foe in a dramatic showdown in space. Hit the jump to watch!

For those of you who were disappointed by X-Men Origins: Wolverine, these newly-released trailers for James Mangold‘s The Wolverine make it seem like the film has just the right formula to make up for it.

In both the domestic and international trailers for the film, we get a glimpse of what Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) has been up to since X-Men: The Last Stand. Isolated in a moody, atmospheric Japanese setting and struggling against his own inner demons, the trailers shows that the film will deal with a tremendous amount of growth for the character, all the while delivering on all of the great comic book action we have come to expect from the X-Men franchise.

While both trailers generally convey the same thing, they are different enough from each other to give both a look. Hit the jump to watch!

Finally, after years of waiting for a real peek at director David Twohy’s Riddick (the third film in a series that first started in 1999 with Pitch Black, followed by The Chronicles of Riddick in 2004), we get our first real look at the film in a brand new teaser that was posted today on Riddick star Vin Diesel’s Facebook page. However, it’s only twenty-two seconds long.

Having said that, the trailer really does gives us a nice tease at what’s to come, and definitely shows that they are scaling the film down more to the level of Pitch Black, which was significantly less grand in scope than The Chronicles of Riddick in terms of its visuals. Twohy indicated as much back in 2009 when talking about the film’s lower budget. The tone seems to fit right along with the first film, which is great. Have a look at the first teaser below!

If you were able to get to your local movie theater this weekend to check out Sam Raimi’s fantastic Oz the Great and Powerful, you may have already seen the latest teaser for J.J. Abrams’ latest film, Star Trek Into Darkness. But don’t worry, even if you were not able to catch the teaser in the theater, it has now been made available to watch online.

This latest teaser for the film runs only a little over a minute long, but crams in as much action as it can, all the while focusing mainly on Captain Kirk and his story. Hit the jump to check it out!

It’s time for another look at M. Night Shyamalan’s post-apocalyptic sci-fi film, After Earth, starring Will Smith and Jaden Smith as a father and son who crash land on Earth, which has been abandoned for 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity to leave. Jaden Smith’s character, Kitai, must face the wild, as well as an alien lifeform that escaped during the crash, as he sets out on a quest to send out a signal for help for himself and his injured father.

Will this be the film that redeems Shyamalan as a director? In all honesty, I really hope so. This is a director who has made a few good films, but whose writing ability seems to have steadily declined with each film he makes. It is really an uphill battle for him as a director to make a great film again at this point. But perhaps through the excellent choice of casting Will Smith in the film, as well as bringing in other writers to help with the script, this film might just prove to be Shyamalan’s big comeback. Wouldn’t that be something? Hit the jump to watch the new trailer!

You’ve seen the first trailer, as well as the Super Bowl TV spot, but you have not seen anything until you have watched this latest trailer for Iron Man 3, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. It focuses much more on The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), the latest adversary for Iron Man, and lets us know more than ever that the stakes are higher than they’ve ever been for Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) as he faces off against this new enemy to protect those he cares about.

It feels like this film will be much more of a character study on Stark than the previous films were, which is completely welcome in my book. But don’t worry, this latest trailer also lets us know that there will still be plenty of eye-popping action to get our adrenaline going. Hit the jump to watch!

A new trailer has debuted online for Disney’s Oz the Great and Powerful, directed by Sam Raimi, and it really packs a punch for being the shortest trailer yet for the film, cramming as much action as possible into less than one minute of footage. The trailer even features a few new shots from The Wizard of Oz prequel, including more of the wicked witch, so it is definitely worth a look. Hit the jump to watch the new trailer!
