The X-Men Franchise seems to finally be at another pinnacle these days. After experiencing the less than stellar X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, 2011’s X-Men: First Class and this past summer’s The Wolverine both served to breathe new life into the series without having to reboot it. And if the newly-released trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past is any indication, it seems to be that we will get to stay at this high point for a while longer.

In the trailer, we meet back up with The Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) in the not too distant future, along with Professor X (Patrick Stewart), Magneto (Ian McKellen) and the rest of the X-Men from the first three films, who face extermination by a clan of giant, mutant-hunting robots known as Sentinels. In order to stop this invasion, Wolverine’s consciousness must somehow be be sent back to 1973 to convince the First Class X-Men to do something about it before it starts. Needless to say, this is going to be one giant X-Men movie that has the potential to be the best yet. Hit the jump to watch the trailer!

The film adaptation of Kevin Grevioux’s Darkstorm Studios graphic novel, I, Frankenstein, has been in development for quite some time now, with the film getting the green light in 2010, and the casting of Aaron Eckhart and Bill Nighy as the Frankenstein Monster and main villain, respectively, happening in 2011. Needless to say, this classic monster fan was thrilled. A 200 year-old Frankenstein Monster battling the threat of demonic forces out to destroy mankind? How could I not be?

But then, photos started getting released of Aaron Eckhart as the Monster, named Adam in this film, and it was quite underwhelming at best. Here you’ve got a guy with great acting chops, looked great as Two-Face in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, and all we get is a few stitches on his face and he’s now the Monster? But because I’ve been fooled before by leaked set photos from various movies and have been completely won over once I saw footage, the decision was made to not post any imagery from the film and simply wait for the trailer to be released.

Well, the time has finally come, with today’s debut of first official trailer for the movie. You can check it out for yourself below!

Warner Brothers has finally released a second trailer for Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and there is definitely plenty to behold for the fans. While we do get to wander the paths of Mirkwood, visit Laketown, and of course see the Lonely Mountain again, we don’t get to see as much as you might think in this trailer, which is probably a good thing. This new trailer definitely emphasizes that Legolas (Orlando Bloom) has a pretty big role in the film, and lets us in on his relationship (or lack thereof) with Tauriel, played by Evangeline Lily. Also, while we actually see less of Smaug the dragon than we did in the first trailer, this time we really get to witness Benadict Cumberbatch as the voice of the dragon, which, after watching this trailer, is sure to blow us all away. Overall, this second chapter in The Hobbit Trilogy seems to have a much darker tone to it than An Unexpected Journey, which is fine by me.

While the biggest buzz to come out of San Diego Comic-Con was Zack Snyder’s announcement of his Superman vs. Batman flick, as well as the title reveal for the next Avengers film (The Avengers: Age of Ultron), Thor: The Dark World somehow seems to still slip under the radar for some reason, even though it’s the next big Marvel film to be released this year that ties directly into The Avengers (Marvel’s biggest hit) with the return of Thor and his adopted evil brother, Loki. People are interested, and some great footage was apparently screened at Comic-Con, but it seems other comic-related films are getting more buzz these days (although Loki actor Tom Hiddleston did make quite an entrance in Hall H).

Well, the second trailer for Thor: The Dark World has landed online, with enough Thor and plenty of Loki to go around to hopefully remind people just how cool these characters are and that this sequel is what comic book fans should be focusing on right now. Judging purely from the looks of it, this film may be the Thor film that some fans wanted with the first, with much more action this time around, and it really seems to be going for a much darker tone than both the first Thor film and The Avengers. As San Diego Comic-Con continues on this weekend, fans of the widely popular AMC series The Walking Dead finally got their first real glimpse at Season Four with an extended trailer for the show, which premiers October 13th at 9PM EST. Essentially, we see in the trailer that the prison Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his groupies have taken up residence in may or may not hold up for much longer, as more and more zombies continue to ravage its defenses, and it appears that a mole may be lurking among the group, trying to actually help out said undead creatures. While The Governor does not make an appearance in this trailer, it is still of course exciting to see all-new footage from the upcoming season nonetheless. Hit the jump to watch!

Obviously the main reason to go see director Guillermo Del Toro’s latest film, Pacific Rim, is to see giant robots (Jaegers) face off against giant monsters (Kaiju) from a different dimension. Every trailer has made sure to show off what looks to be some of the greatest, most ridiculously epic battles of all time.

But the trailers have been missing much of the human element of the story, which, believe it or not, apparently exists. This latest and final trailer for the film actually lets us hang out with a few of the characters (namely those played by actors Charlie Day, Ron Perlman, Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, and Rinko Kikuchi), showing us a little bit of how they fit into all of this.

Having said that, the majority of the trailer still centers in on the action, which is really what you’re interested in anyway, right? Have a look after the jump!

As promised, the first full trailer for director Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is now online, and it definitely does not disappoint. We finally get our first real film footage of Evangeline Lilly’s elven character Tauriel, as well as Legolas (Orlando Bloom) back in action, dwarves floating in barrels down river, some cool sword fighting, and even a peek Beorn – a man who can transform into an over-sized bear.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There has got to be a big part of you that wants to see the trailer unfold before your eyes without having everything spoiled beforehand, right? There are definitely a few surprises left, so hit the jump to witness all of the sheer epic greatness of the first trailer for the second film in The Hobbit Trilogy!

Well, much like what happened with The Dark Knight Rises last year, another “final” trailer has been released for Man of Steel, this time via Nokia. But, even though the marketing machine has gone spinning almost completely out of control for director Zack Snyder’s soon-to-be released Superman reboot, and this website’s front page is currently populated with tons of trailers and featurettes for the film (I’ve avoided any recent movie clips and TV spots that have been released), that doesn’t make this latest trailer from Nokia any less awesome. It mainly showcases the action and visuals, but it also highlights Hans Zimmer’s fantastic score. Check it out below!

While all of the previous trailers for director Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel have been stellar, they have all had a pretty similar vibe, focusing on the hero’s journey of Clark Kent/Superman. In this latest final trailer for the film, however, the theme centers almost entirely on his opponent General Zod and the overall villainous threat that Superman faces in the film. There is tons of new and exciting footage to behold, unlike anything we’ve seen in the previous trailers, so this one’s definitely worth a look… or two… or three… or, well, you get the idea. Hit the jump to watch!

A third trailer showing off more Jaegers vs. Kaiju action in Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim has landed online, letting us know that you would be absolutely crazy not to check this out on the big screen. The trailer goes into a bit more detail regarding how humans control the Jaegers (giant robots), and reiterates what we already know of the plot from previous trailers, but its primary focus is on giving us plenty of new action footage to sink our teeth into before we can actually experience the final product this July. Hit the jump to watch sheer epic mayhem unfold!
