Writer/Producer Howard Gordon, best known for his work on such hit TV series as 24 and The X-Files, has recently released a new thriller in the form of a novel called Gideon’s War!
In the first fiction novel ever written by Gordon, international peacemaker Gideon Davis finds himself in a bit of a fix when he is given just one day to bring his rogue brother to justice in order to stop a vast global conspiracy, which may force him to start a war in order to maintain peace.
Matt Allair from The X-Files Lexicon recently conducted a great interview with Gordon about his new book. You can watch the trailer for the novel as well as read an excerpt from Allair’s interview with Gordon after the jump!

I must confess, I grew up on a heavy dose of Pee-Wee Herman, played by Paul Reubens. I loved Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure (directed by Tim Burton), and I tuned in to Pee-Wee’s Playhouse every Saturday morning on CBS back in the 80s. Needless to say, while I was bummed after Reubens’ “incident” in 1991, I long hoped that he’d make a triumphant return as the hilarious grown up kid that I remembered from my childhood.
Reubens has managed to maintain a fairly successful career playing other roles throughout the years, but recently he has actually resurrected the characer of Pee-Wee Herman by taking his comic sketches to Broadway as well as making various appearances on TV programs like The Tonight Show (Leno and O’Brien). Now, his Broadway show will be taking on the form of a TV special for HBO March 19th at 10 PM EST! Check out the trailer after the jump!

If you saw Skyline late last year, most likely you said something afterward to the effect of, “What was that crap I just wasted my money on?” Now, I am one of those people that is really forgiving when it comes to movies I was excited to see but ended up not enjoying at first. After all, sometimes one’s initial opinion can change after one dwells upon it and lets it sink in over time. With Skyline, however, I had no choice but to feel like I just wasted $8.00 and two hours of my life that I can’t ever get back. My opinion never changed (of course, now that I’ve said this, people will probably rent it and think it wasn’t all that bad).
Hopefully, with Battle: Los Angeles, we’ll get the alien invasion movie we all hoped Skyline would be. It sure looks like it will be! Check out the full trailer below!

Just for kicks, io9 recently posted a trailer for the 1994 movie Oblivion, which was a low-budget movie about “cowboys and aliens.” Of course, this is quite funny to look back on because of Jon Favreau‘s big-budget film coming out this year that is actually called Cowboys & Aliens starring Daniel Craig. Compare the two drastically different trailers after the jump (pay close attention to George Takaei‘s campy lines in the film for a couple of Star Trek references)!
