20th Century Fox has just released a brand new trailer for Matthew Vaughn‘s X-Men: First Class, one of my Top 10 Movies to See This Summer. It starts off very much like the first trailer, but also features a lot of cool new footage, including more scenes with Professor X and Magneto as well as a look at the relationship between Mystique and Beast. The latest trailer for Jon Favreau‘s Cowboys & Aliens just debuted during American Idol tonight, and now it is available to watch in High Definition over at Apple.com. The trailer for Rise of the Planet of the Apes has now debuted online over at Apple.com. Directed by Rupert Wyatt, the film stars James Franco, Andy Serkis (as Caesar), Freida Pinto, John Lithgow and Brian Cox. You can watch the trailer below!

This is the first time I have heard about this, but apparently there have been plans to remake Ed Wood‘s infamous Plan 9 from Outer Space (known for being “the worst film ever made”) for quite some time now.
Darkstone Entertainment, primarily known for making extremely low-budget independent horror films, announced some time in 2008 that director John Johnson would be remaking the film, simply titled Plan 9. It was originally slated for release on 9/9/2009 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the original film, but that never happened. Now, it looks like production has in fact finally started on the film, according to The Mary Sue. You can even watch a teaser trailer for the “serious-minded” remake after the jump!

In case you haven’t already heard, Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s first entertainment project since his term as Governor of California ended will be an animated TV series called The Governator (of course). The series will chronicle Schwarzenegger, who, after retiring from being Governor, takes up a career as a superhero to fight crime.
Today, it was officially announced at an MipTV press conference that the series will also take the form of comic books, games and finally a 3-D feature film. A trailer for the series was also released today, which you can check out after the jump!

A couple of months ago, a low-quality trailer hit the web for Cartoon Network‘s upcoming Thundercats reboot, which was pretty cool. However, this weekend in San Francisco, CA, an even better, all-new trailer debuted at WonderCon, which you can now watch online in HD over at Cartoon Network’s Facebook page.

A new TV Spot for J.J. Abrams‘ Super 8 has just hit the web, although admittedly it is not as stellar as the full-length trailer that debuted a few weeks ago. Saying that, it is still worth a look since there are a couple of new things to see that weren’t in the original trailer, and anything getting the word out on this highly secretive tribute to Steven Spielberg‘s sci-fi films from the 70s and 80s is a good thing. In addition, an LA Times interview with the kid actors from the film at the Kids’ Choice Awards has also made its way online, which, to the best of my knowledge, is the first time they have actually been publicly interviewed for the film. You can find the video interview embedded after the jump!

While the first trailer for the upcoming Green Lantern movie from Warner Brothers was met with mixed reactions (mostly due to some CGI effects feeling a bit incomplete), recent footage that was screened at Wonder-Con this weekend seems to have been much more well-received.

Last December, PCM posted the first trailer for TNT‘s Falling Skies, a new sci-fi alien invasion series executive produced by Steven Spielberg (who else?) about a former college professor (Noah Wyle) who becomes the leader of a group of soldiers and civilians who fight for their survival against an occupying alien force.
A new trailer/featurette has been released that shows us more of the look and feel of the show, and also reveals a bit more about the story and characters. If you ask me, so far it feels very much like AMC’s The Walking Dead, but on a larger scale and, of course, with aliens instead of zombies. You can watch the featurette after the jump!

Film producer Jerry Weintraub, known for producing such hit films as the Ocean’s Eleven and Karate Kid series, is stepping out from behind the scenes and into the spotlight in what is sure to be a fascinating new documentary called His Way.
Premiering exclusively on HBO on April 4th at 9 PM ET/PT, His Way utilizes personal video, archival footage and one-on-one interviews to chronicle Weintraub‘s five-decade career as a Hollywood entrepreneur.
