About a year ago, PCM reported that the hit 1980s cartoon TV series Voltron would be adapted into a live-action movie by the producers of The Dark Knight. Well, since September, those plans have been done away with because of a lawsuit that happened between the owners of the television rights and the owners of the movie rights.

Now, Variety is reporting that the franchise will now in fact be adapted into a new, revamped cartoon series, similar to what is happening with ThunderCats.

This past April, PCM reported that a six-part comic-book series from Wildstorm was in the works, crossing The X-Files characters “Mulder” and “Scully” with the vampires from the 30 Days of Night film and graphic novels. A couple of weeks ago, PCM featured videos of Producer/Director Michelle MacLaren and Producer/Writer Vince Gilligan talking about their first days on the hit TV show The X-Files. Well, another video has popped up on Big Light with writer/editor Tom Schnauz, who was involved with both The X-Files and its cancelled spinoff TV show The Lone Gunmen (R.I.P.). Anyone who remembers the 90s knows that The X-Files was the biggest, most popular TV show to hit the air in a long time. It totally revolutionized how TV shows were made, inspiring shows such as LOST, Fringe, 24, etc.

LOST_Ben Linus

Michael Emerson (“Ben Linus” from LOST) sat down with Attack of the Show host Kevin Pereira and talked about the LOST Finale. One of the things Emerson revealed is that there is an actual Epilogue that was filmed featuring the characters Ben and Hurley that will be included as a bonus feature on the upcoming Complete Series DVD and Blu-ray sets of LOST, which will be released in stores everywhere on August 24th. LOST_Times_Interview

Last Sunday marked the series finale of the hit TV show LOST. Whether you loved it or hated it (personally, I liked the finale quite a bit), you cannot deny the show’s overall captivating storytelling and the mark it has made on network television.

In honor of the show, The New York Times conducted a live, 100-minute interview with LOST writers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. They discussed at great length the writing process of the show, answered some lingering questions about past plot points and also took questions from the audience. I found this at /Film the other day and I figured I should re-post it here, since I found it so incredibly informative and entertaining. If you are (or were) a fan of LOST, you should watch this.
