You’ve seen the first trailer, as well as the Super Bowl TV spot, but you have not seen anything until you have watched this latest trailer for Iron Man 3, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. It focuses much more on The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), the latest adversary for Iron Man, and lets us know more than ever that the stakes are higher than they’ve ever been for Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) as he faces off against this new enemy to protect those he cares about.

It feels like this film will be much more of a character study on Stark than the previous films were, which is completely welcome in my book. But don’t worry, this latest trailer also lets us know that there will still be plenty of eye-popping action to get our adrenaline going. Hit the jump to watch!

Official Synopsis:

Marvel’s “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Iron Man 3, directed by Shane Black, stars Robert Downey Jr., Guy Pearce, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Kingsley, and Don Cheadle. The film is slated to hit theaters nationwide May 3, 2013.
