Universal has just announced a release date for Jurassic Park IV. Produced by Steven Spielberg, and written by Rise of the Planet of the Apes scribes Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, the film will be shot in 3D and is set for release June 13, 2014!

There has been speculation that, since no director has been chosen as of yet, that Spielberg may step up to the task, since it was recently announced that his latest project, Robopocalypse, has been put on hold. Perhaps he may be up for it?

In the meantime, you can check out the re-release of the original Jurassic Park, remastered in 3D this April to hold you over until Jurassic Park IV makes its debut next year.
