I have always been a fan of the first two Men in Black movies. They’re ridiculous, hilarious, and overall pleasantly entertaining. It seriously was a genius move to team up Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in a sci-fi comedy film series, and it was only a matter of time before a third film would eventually make its way to the big screen.
Fast forward nearly ten years later, and we now finally get to take a sneak peek at Men in Black III in the first teaser trailer that debuted today on YouTube. Directed once again by Barry Sonnenfeld and shot in 3-D, the film hits theaters nationwide May 25, 2012. Check out the teaser after the jump!
Official Plot Synopsis:
In Men in Black 3, Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) are back… in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K’s life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him — secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save his partner, the agency , and the future of humankind.
Admittedly, this does look a bit rough. It could be, in part, due to a few problems during the film’s production, particularly with the script. On the other hand, it could just be a less than stellar teaser trailer that doesn’t necessarily reflect on the quality of the finished film. Either way, it still looks fun and I’ll be seeing it.
