Life’s Too Short, the new TV comedy from Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant (The Office, Extras), has already been successfully entertaining British audiences since its premiere on BBC Two November 10th. While it has been known for a while that the series will premiere in February of next year in the United States on HBO, it was officially announced today that it will indeed premiere on February 19, 2012 at 10:30PM /9:30c.
This hilarious, yet endearing TV series stars actor Warwick Davis (Return of the Jedi, Willow, Harry Potter), who plays a comically fictionalized version of himself as he makes his way in the world of showbiz as well as his own personal life. While Davis is the star of the show, it also showcases numerous appearances by Gervais and Merchant, as well as a number of guest appearances by other high-profile actors such as Liam Neeson, Johnny Depp and Steve Carell. Life’s Too Short, written and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant (The Office, Extras), is a fake documentary following the day-to-day existence of real-life dwarf actor Warwick Davis (Return Of The Jedi, Harry Potter, Willow). Warwick plays a fictional version of himself. He is desperate, conniving, fame-hungry and self-centred, but always gets his comeuppance. Life’s Too Short is an observational comedy, dealing with everyday problems, human foibles and social faux pas… but with a dwarf.
