Ever wanted to be a part of creating the musical score for your favorite films? Well, here’s your chance!
If your remember, in the teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, there was a type of chanting heard in the background. The film’s music composer, Hans Zimmer, is now creating more chanting for the film, and has set up a way to record your voice to be a part of it via UJAM, a website Zimmer co-founded. Read on to find out how you can lend your voice to the film!
From Hans Zimmer (via UJAM):
“I’m shining the bat-signal up into the sky to call you all!
We need to hear your voices! Now and Loud! We are creating the sound of a worldwide chant. Everyone come and be part of it. It’s easy:
There is no such thing as out-of-tune, no timing we can’t fix later. If you mumble, growl, scream or whisper, it’s all good. Make it yours. If you only get halfway through, no problem! Do it alone, bring your friends, but do it with energy and commitment.
Let your voice be heard and be a part of our adventure!
So we need every one of you out there to join. By signing up and recording your voice, you could be a part of The Dark Knight Rises.“
Anyone want to refuse? Head on over to UJAM to get started!
The Dark Knight Rises, directed by Christopher Nolan, stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Josh Pence and Tom Hardy. It hits theaters nationwide July 20, 2012.
