Star Wars fans, make sure your schedule is clear for September 16th! Not only is the Star Wars Saga Blu-ray set being released that day, but Season 4 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is also premiering that evening at 8/7 c on Cartoon Network! The Force is telling me that this may have been intentional…
Anyway, an extended trailer for the new season of The Clone Wars has also popped up online, along with an official press release. Hit the jump to check it out!
Description of Season 4 premiere episodes Water War and Gungan Attack:
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (8 p.m. ET/PT) – “Water War” and “Gungan Attack” – In the first two episodes of this three-part story arc, the inhabitants of the watery world of Mon Calamari find themselves on the brink of a civil war. The Jedi soon realize they will need the help of a powerful and amphibious ally to stop the war and drive out the Separatist invaders.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 4 Trailer:
Definitely excited for the new season, especially since it has been confirmed that Captain Ackbar (he’s not an Admiral yet) has been confirmed to play a role in The Clone Wars. I have been also anxiously awaiting the return of Death Watch, which was a Season Two highlight, in my opinion.
However, nothing in this trailer really excites me like the trailer for the second half of Season 3, where we were given glimpses of the Mortis trilogy. Season 3 really raised the bar for the show, and, while the trailer for Season 4 looks good, I’m thinking (and hoping) that Lucasfilm is just holding back on showing us the really great stuff that is yet to come.
Head on over to TheForce.net for the official press release for Season 4!
