Actors Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves, stars of the Bill and Ted movies, have both publicly discussed the possibility of a third film in the last year or so, claiming that a script is currently in the works by the original writers of the first two movies. While many found this difficult to believe, Reeves recently told MTV that the writers are about six weeks away from turning it in!

Reeves on the plot of Bill and Ted 3:
“When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn’t happened,” he said. “So they’ve now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there’s an element of time and they have to go back.”
There is a big part of me that hopes that this really comes to fruition. Bill and Ted in their 50s? I am totally in!
Of course, this is not an official announcement that the movie is happening. The script has not yet been approved, nor has the film been green-lit. Until then, the Wyld Stallyns will just have to continue dreaming of becoming most triumphant…
