Hobbit_Casting

Last week, Peter Jackson delivered the sad news that Rob Kazinsky, who was originally cast as Fili the dwarf in The Hobbit films, had to drop out of the project for personal reasons. Today, Jackson announced that Kiwi actor Dean O’Gorman (The Almighty Johnsons) will serve as Kazinsky‘s replacement, and also revealed that Lee Pace (The Fall) will play the Elven King Thrandruil! 20th Century Fox has just released a brand new trailer for Matthew Vaughn‘s X-Men: First Class, one of my Top 10 Movies to See This Summer. It starts off very much like the first trailer, but also features a lot of cool new footage, including more scenes with Professor X and Magneto as well as a look at the relationship between Mystique and Beast. A couple of weeks ago, Keanu Reeves gave MTV an update on the script for Bill & Ted 3, saying that it was six weeks away from being completed by writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, who also wrote Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey.

Now, Alex Winter, who played Bill in the previous two installments, has revealed via Twitter that the script is already finished! Read on for more!

While answering the question of who was narrating Bilbo Baggins at the end of his first video blog (it was actually Martin Freeman), Peter Jackson inadvertently confirmed in a recent update on his Facebook page that Ian Holm will be reprising the role of old Bilbo Baggins in the films.

Not only that, but today he says that Rob Kazinsky, who was initially cast as Fili the dwarf, is now having to leave the production due to personal reasons, which means a replacement must be found to fill the role. Read on for the updates!

Blair Witch Project

Recently, PCM was notified of quite an interesting Top 10 List that was published at Online Certificate Programs regarding what they deem to be the best low-budget films of all time.

Now, this article is not in reference to cheesy B-movies made on a shoestring budget that no one cares about (although they can be good for a laugh), but rather movies that turned out to be quite well done and critically well-received, even though they cost relatively little to produce and weren’t necessarily blockbusters. Some of the most interesting films on the list include those directed by Christopher Nolan (no, it is not Memento) and David Lynch, both who started out with very little but eventually made it to the big time.
