As you probably already know, one of the most beloved tales of Christmas is coming to life once again this Holiday season, but in a whole new way. Robert Zemeckis, director of Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, The Polar Express, etc., is bringing us a new CG-animated version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol in 3-D November 6th. Yahoo! has posted a really terrific behind-the-scenes interview with Zemeckis and Jim Carrey, who plays Ebenezzer Scrooge. Check it out after the jump!

This movie looks incredible to me. The amount of detail that has gone into realizing this version of the classic Dickens tale is just mind-boggling. I do hope, however, that Zemeckis will return to form and make live-action films after this. I mean, what more can he do in the realm of CG animation after making The Polar Express, Beowulf and now A Christmas Carol? Hey, if he stops now, they can release a “Zemeckis CG Animation 3-Pack” next Christmas!
