Due to the amazing response that the XF3 Army “I Want to Believe” Operation has gotten, they have extended this second phase of the campaign for another week (until August 2nd) by request. Apparently many X-Philes still want to participate but are just waiting for their paychecks to clear.

Last week in Amazon.com’s overall Movie and TV rankings, the single disc version of The X-Files: I Want to Believe went from ranking as low as #5000 or lower, to as high as #704 by midnight July 23rd! It fluctuated throughout the week, but overall it stayed consistantly way higher than it had ever been before, which is great! Also, it ranked as high as #17 in Amazon’s “Movies & TV > Science Fiction & Fantasy > Science Fiction > Aliens” category, and #28 in “Movies & TV > Science Fiction & Fantasy > Science Fiction > Sci-Fi Action” category! At one time, they only had 2 copies left and had to restock!

I’m not sure if it will ever get any higher than what it did last week, but it does send the message that X-Philes all over the world are incredibly devoted. On XF3 Army’s Facebook page, there were comments made by quite a few people who said they bought more than one copy, sometimes even more than five at at time! I thought I was devoted by simply participating and buying my one copy for charity! Way to go X-Philes! Let’s make X-Files 3 a reality!!!

I know what you’re thinking. “Do you really believe in these sort of campaigns?” Well, when it comes to The X-Files, let’s just say I Want to Believe.
