According to The Insider, it appears that the next Indiana Jones film will start filming some time next year, with a theatrical release date for the film set for 2011. It does appear that this is actually moving forward, and that Harrison Ford is set to reprise the role as the man in the hat. [Insider article has been debunked. See Update after the jump]
Like I said last week, I am open to a fifth Indiana Jones. I just hope this time table is accurate, as Ford is not getting any younger. I’m still not holding my breath until Spielberg, Lucas or Ford confirm it though. Producer Frank Marshall’s Twitter update and interview with Empire Online from last week seems to be the biggest credible tidbit we’ve gotten that they’re working on it, but I want confirmation from the horse’s mouth about an actual filming schedule and release date. Come on Spielberg, speak up!

Update: I tweeted Frank Marshall, the producer of the Indiana Jones films about this article from The Insider asking him if it was accurate.
Below is how the brief exchange went (his Twitter name is LeDoctor and mine is popcornm):
popcornm @LeDoctor: Hey, is this article accurate? http://bit.ly/1qzJ3
So there you have it. The Insider is wrong, at least for now. Perhaps they could decide to shoot next year though?
