A new Lord of the Rings fan film is coming called The Hunt for Gollum, according to EW. It appears that it will be a 40-minute short film that takes place between The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring. Sci-Fi London describes the plot as follows:
“Inspired by notes in the appendices from Tolkien’s ‘The Lord of the Rings’, ‘The Hunt For Gollum’ follows Aragon as he sets out to find the creature Gollum and discover the truth about the Ring…”

I must say that the effects, music and even the actors all make this look like a legitimate film straight from WETA and Peter Jackson. I absolutely love it! Of course, it doesn’t show Gollum fully in this trailer. I’m not sure if they’ll be able to create him nearly as well as WETA did for the LOTR films. Nevertheless, I’m really anxious to see this! The film will debut at the Sci-Fi London Film Festial and DailyMotion.com May 3rd.
