On the MTV Movies Blog, Michael Bay is quoted as saying that Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will clock in four minutues longer than the first movie, which means that it will be 147 mintues (or 2 hours and 27 minutes) long!

Bay also added a little awesome comment about how movie studio execs seem to be obsessed with running times for films:

“I don’t ever talk (to executives) about run times,” he grinned. “Studios always ask, ‘What’s the run time?’ And I’m like ‘If you enjoy the movie, do you care?'”

Michael Bay is the man. And he is so right about this. Did anyone who liked the The Lord of the Rings films care that they were three hours each (longer for the extended editions)? I don’t think so. As long as the pacing is right for the story you’re trying to tell, WHO CARES?!!
